An Alternative to Snow Chains and Tire Chains

Everyone that lives in a city or town that gets any amount of snowfall should carry a set of tire chains. If the snow covers the road, tire chains are a necessity for safe driving.But there are times when it is not wise to use snow chains. For example, it is not a good idea to drive with chains on your tires when there are patches of pavement with no snow. You could possibly damage or even ruin a set of tire chains by driving on pavement instead of snow.

If you get stuck in the snow, you have to install the snow chains where the car or truck is at. This could be dangerous. So what do you do in circumstances like this?
