Collect Antique Pocket Watches & Clocks
Horology - the study of time and time pieces, clocks, watches and my favorite - Pocket Watches - is a fascinating area of collecting. Today people are wondering what the next big thing in collecting will be and where they can invest for the greatest returns. Why not collect these fascinating items and build a collection that will, all things being equal, increase in value too?
Over the past few decades Antique Clocks have also increased in value significantly. Many years ago I decided that putting money in the bank was counter-productive - the tax man took too much! - so I decided to put some money into something real, beautiful and interesting. I bought my first Grandfather Clock.
That was 20 years ago. Now I have many, many clocks, watches and pocket watches worth a small fortune. In fact for the purposes of this post I’ve just calculated how much I have invested in timepieces - wow! Even I’m surprised - over $1million dollars! Much of that is increases in value, so I consider that my initial decision to invest in Antique Clocks and Pocket Watches has paid off.
