The First B Vitamin Discovered
Thiamine, also known as vitamin B1, was the first B vitamin discovered. Each cell in the human body needs vitamin B1 to make adenosine triphosphate, or ATP, the body’s main energy-carrying molecule. Insufficiency in vitamin B1 may be the missing link to flourishing treatment of fibromyalgia. The symptoms of vitamin B1 deficiency and fibromyalgia are prominently similar: mood swings, frequent headaches, unusual fatigue, and muscle softness upon pressure palpitation, muscular weakness, irritable bowel syndrome, and sleep disturbances.
