Buying Investment Property in Today’s Real Estate Market
Everyone has heard that the world is coming to an end…at least the Real Estate Market has, but the truth is this is when the real players step forward and get a whole lot richer. When the real estate game turns to a buyers market (when values are soft and supply is high) is the BEST time to buy investment property. NOT TO FLIP, BUT TO HOLD. The flipping mindset is what caused this big mess in the first place. If you were to look back to 2001 or 2002 before the increases in prices, those who knew were buying BEFORE the flippers and were intending on holding for 3,5 or even 20 years. Just like in the stock market you have to recognize a trend before the public does.
That being said Cedar City Real Estate market is still doing well. Ok maybe pretty good is more accurate. It is hard not to compare the market to the 2005 and 2006 bubble. We have been somewhat sheltered here in Cedar City with our Real Estate values holding on pretty good and the market just plugging along, but compared to the rest of the country we are doing pretty well.
