Make your network perform a little better
Network troubleshooting is a particularly tricky task especially as there are a number of places where degradation can occur that are not particularly obvious. A little recognised area is that data network cables can, over time and if moved around a lot, contribute to the degradation in performance of your network so you should aim to test them or replace them at regular intervals. You should also check you have the correct type of network cable as there are solid core and stranded cables (solid core is often recommended for infrastructure cables that will rarely move) whereas stranded cables (sometimes called fly cables) are designed to take a little more punishment.
