Identifying Fibromyalgia Points

In the diagnosis of fibromyalgia it is very important that fibromyalgia tender points are identified. This is to ensure the correct diagnosis as well as will lead you to the right treatment. There are specific points in the body that are very sensitive to touch to fibromyalgia patient. This is called the 18 tender points of fibromyalgia. These are the following: Low cervical Region, Second Rib, Occiput, Trapezius Muscle,   Supraspinatus Muscle, Lateral Epicondyle,  Gluteal, Greater Trochanter, and  Knee.

As fibromyalgia points are identified this serves a guide to ask for help of the patient and this will guide doctors in diagnosing fibromyalgia patients. Those points in the body are painful to touch that might help alternative procedure of easing pain.
