Filing a Doing Business As (DBA) form in Texas

A Texas Doing Business As (DBA) filing allows a person or company to trade under another name. This is useful when a company wants to enter a new market without setting up a new corporation. In Texas, they simply file a DBA to trade under a fictitious name and can start trading.

For instance, a Texas roofing company called Roofing LLC may wish to also do work on fences. They can file a Texas DBA to trade as Fences LLC but have all invoices paid through Roofing LLC.
