Are Memory Foam Mattresses Prohibitively Expensive?

Unfortunately, the one thing that has always held me back from purchasing a mattress made of memory foam is the price. For someone with my limited budget, it’s hard to justify spending $500 and up on bedding when there are always more pressing bills that I need to pay. But I figured it wouldn’t hurt to do some shopping around just to see where prices are at these days. After all, the last time I looked at memory foam mattresses was about 5 years ago, so there’s a good chance they’re more affordable today.

Well, it turns out I was right about prices coming down to more reasonable levels in the past few years! I spent some time over the weekend checking out memory foam mattresses online and saw that I can get quality models for much less than I expected. I’m talking about top-of-the-line, high-density memory foam mattresses here; not the thin stuff that barely does any good at all. These products are now available from some websites at factory-direct prices (about 50 to 70 percent off retail), which means I can actually afford one.
